Affiliate Program RecommendationsIt is very difficult to find a program to promote that actually pays you your commissions and doesn't try to get out of it. I have literally gone through hundreds of affiliate programs, and I know from experience that the vast majority of them are useless -- and I am not just saying that in an attempt to have you believe that the programs listed on this page are the ones you should join. The basic idea behind this web page is that I have a lot of websites. It can get tiresome to install code and banners on every single website. So what I've done is install everything into this website, and I simply utilize the links and banners here from my other websites. However, since I've done all that, I have decided to make a display out of all the links and banners that I am promoting from various websites. Everything that is listed here -- is here because they actually pay me, and I am satisfied with the service and the program. There's nothing listed here that I do not personally use or have experience with. There are more hints and tips for promoting affiliate programs below the links and banners -- basically just an explanation of how I use these links and banners to promote and make money. Web HostingSafelistsHow to I promote the abobe programs?What I do is create a forwarding page with a URL like: http://www.mrlen.com/r/page-name.php Then, I use the following HTML in that page ( page-name.php ) to redirect anyone who has clicked on that link to the program. ie:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>
I PUT THE NAME OF THE AFFILIATE PROGRAM HERE
</title>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="MY_AFFILIATE_URL_GOES_HERE">
</head>
<body>
I PUT MY STATISTICS CODE HERE
</body>
</html>
I put statistics code, in the page so that I can go to my statistics and see who's clicking on what to where. This is a simple way for me to work out whether banners are actually being clicked on or not. If I am sending an advertisement out on a safelist, I will create a special redirection page especially for that safelist. That way I can see exactly which safelists are attracting visitors and which ones don't attract a single click. Many safelists are utterly useless, but there are some around that give a fair amount of clicks, so I continue to use them. |
