I am probably the only person in the history of the Internet, to have a spammer finish up by saying:
"dont write to me again"
Here's how I did it:

Now some people are getting hacked and some bot logs into their msn and spams me. Very very annoying.

I hate spammers. They are so annoying!
Every day I get 5 or 10 spammers signing up on this forum and promoting all kinds of porn and pharmaceuticals and who knwos what else. I have to come here every day and delete it all.
Haven't these people got a life?

Haven't these people got a life?
I have freaking spam bots that are a new account per post now!! Trying to figure out a way to get rid of them, must need to hire some moderators I have over 300 clogged in the trash can of my forum |

You are using phpBB, and in my experience it is much harder to fight off the spammers with phpBB. I prefer SMF, because it has more functionality to deal with the spammers. I have set a total ban on some domains, especially: *.ru
I hope some legitimate Russians don't get upset, but if I didn't have that ban there, I wouldn't wake up to 5 spam accounts I would wake up to 15, or more. I have come to my forums before and saw so much porn and spam, I didn't even recognize my OWN website!
It's a battle..

I was wondering what those russian posts were.. Now I know to remove them, thanks. I think a big factor is the type of websites we run are susceptible to being spammed

Yep. I have a tolerance for people to come to the forums and drop a link here or there, providing it's all within context, and they haven't come to the forums JUST to do that (ie: their first post). But I just can't stand the blatant spammers.
I get annoyed with websites that jump all over you back for even having a link in your signature. Let's face it. The reason 95% of people are on forums is so they can have a signature. Anyone who tells you anything differently is a liar -- or just doesn't know.
