You are using phpBB, and in my experience it is much harder to fight off the spammers with phpBB. I prefer SMF, because it has more functionality to deal with the spammers. I have set a total ban on some domains, especially: *.ru

I hope some legitimate Russians don't get upset, but if I didn't have that ban there, I wouldn't wake up to 5 spam accounts I would wake up to 15, or more. I have come to my forums before and saw so much porn and spam, I didn't even recognize my OWN website!

It's a battle..
